89% reduction in processing time as Platzer digitises parking management

Platzer, one of Gothenburg's largest commercial real estate companies, took a holistic approach to the parking business — and reduced the processing time for rentals by a whopping 89% by implementing the digital system Park46 from Mobility46.

Background & Challenge

In 2022, Emma Andersson, Operations Developer at Platzer, was commissioned to evaluate mobility solutions for an area in Gothenburg. In that work, she quickly identified an overlooked but business-critical part: a messy and inefficient parking administration that took a disproportionate amount of time.

To enable a modern mobility offering, Platzer realized that they first needed to streamline and digitize their parking management. A preliminary study showed three main areas with potential for improvement:

Results

The introduction of Park46 at Platzer's parking garage Ceres quickly showed measurable effects:

  • 89% reduction in processing time: Manual time per contract was greatly reduced thanks to digital feeds.
  • 75% shorter lead time internally: More efficient processes shortened the time from application to completed contract.
  • 85% less waiting time for the customer: From not being able to handle queues at all, Platzer can now provide customers with fast and fair allocation of seats.
  • Increased revenues: With better overview and data, Platzer was able to adjust rents to marketable levels for new and existing contracts.

The next step is to scale up work with more automated flows and create a fully integrated digital customer experience for parking permits, EV charging and accesser.
