Now it's time for the digital parking revolution!

Managing parking spaces is often a manual job performed using several different systems. For example, queue lists are usually managed in excel, physical parking permits and physical key tags are issued in an access system, and invoices are created in an accounting system. In addition to the purely administrative tasks, there are also issues that need to be dealt with. It can be anything from the price and size of the parking spaces to purely practical questions about, for example, key tags or whether the latest invoice has been paid.

In other words, it is a lot of manual labor to manage parking spaces. If it is done in the traditional way that is to say. There is an alternative to the manual management and it is digital parking management.

When a task or process is repetitive, there is the possibility of automating it and thus freeing up resources for other things. This, combined with the use of one and the same system, creates the perfect conditions for making parking management simple and profitable.

What is the best thing about digital parking management?

  • The administration of the parking spaces is drastically reduced
  • Improved operating net
  • Improving the experience for parking customers
For our customers, the average savings on administration time is about 30%

What is Digital Parking Management?

The smoothest way to explain is to simply walk through how our system (Park46) works, step by step.

A digital system adapted for parking management

The first thing our customers do is create a digital inventory of all their parking spaces. Based on this map, they can see how many places they have. After that, they can divide the seats into different categories (and price ranges) to create order. For example, it can be large/small space or with/without charging.

The next step is to decide how the parking spaces will be rented out. Is it through parking permit in unreserved seats or should it be possible to rent a reserved seat? Or maybe a combination?

Automated queue management

An important advantage of keeping track of all locations in one digital system is that queue management can be automated. In the system there is a digital queue page where our customers can refer anyone interested in renting a place. Each stakeholder can easily register with Mobilt BankID and the system assigns a queue place based on the set criteria. When a seat becomes vacant, the system automatically sends a link with an offer on the vacant seat to the person who is first in the queue.

In other words, the possibilities are great when it comes to digital parking management!

If the person wants to sign the contract, it is done completely digitally. If the person does not respond within a certain time, an automatic reminder will be sent out. If the person does not respond within a certain number of days/reminders, they will be automatically removed from the queue, and the next person on the spot will be offered the vacant seat.

Parking customers get started right away

Once the parking customer has accepted the terms and conditions, everything is ready to start parking on the day when the contract comes into force. The system adds the parking customer to a customer register and at the same time activates the charge according to the parking customer's contractual terms. The registration number is entered by the parking customer and connected to the parking attendant's security system.

Automated notification and payment processing

When it comes to parking management, both notifications and payment processing are two administratively demanding processes. We have solved this by simply automating them. All parking customers are automatically billed based on their agreement and default payment method (direct debit, e-invoice or other).

Unlock the garage with a smartphone

If the parking is located in a locked garage, parking customers have access to a digital key via their smartphone, as long as their agreement is active, of course. When the contract is terminated (which the parking customer easily does via the customer portal), the opportunity to open ends.

Reduced vacancy rate and less administration

The fact that we can then, with the help of exciting statistics and data, cover each parking optimally, is a matter of course in digital management. Since the system constantly handles all appointments and redundancies automatically, the vacancy rate decreases as all agreements are signed overlapping between parking customers. In terms of our customers, the average savings on administrative staff is about 30 percent.

Automation leads to increased operating net

In other words, the whole process from offering different parking options (such as charging space, bike space or unreserved space), to queue management and contract management is completely automatic. This means that you, as a parking manager, do not have to invest time in administration and that your parking customers receive quick and effective assistance. The business profit lies in an improved operating net.

In other words, the possibilities are great when it comes to digital parking management! We have been developing our system for over 10 years and hopefully you got some inspiration and new thoughts that you can bring into your organization.
