Mobility is, in short, about the ability for people and goods to be moved from one place to another. At the moment, there are major changes in society linked to mobility. Among other things, to reduce harmful emissions in urban environments. Emissions caused primarily by fossil fuels. In other words, the cities of the future will not be adapted for vehicular traffic with the associated parking on street land. They will be adapted for public transport, electric means of transport and people. This means that the parking garages will have a completely new role and can be used for more than just static parking spaces. They will be a central hub for mobility. For those of you who already own and manage parking garages, this means completely new business opportunities.

In addition, you who own or manage parking already have two of the most important assets to become a central hub for mobility: parking garages and customers. By seeing your parking spaces as dynamic spaces, you have every opportunity to start using them to offer different types of mobility services. For example, integrated electric car charging (the customer receives everything on the same bill and pays for actual consumption), delivery points for e-commerce and grocery bags, car pools and electric vehicles for short journeys (micromobility such as electric bicycles, electric scooters, etc.).

According to DI's report “Mobility Insights #1” 11 out of 12 regional board chairmen say that there is some kind of mobility plan or transport strategy with the aim of realigning travel and transport towards greater sustainability in the region.

In Malmö there is a good example of mobility services in parking garages being a topical issue. In the city's new policy on mobility and parking municipal parking garages become mobility houses.

You need to have full control of your surfaces and be able to easily redistribute them if necessary.
