Why are Charge Portal and the Taking Charge app being discontinued?

CTEK has chosen to focus its activities on the development of market-leading products and solutions in destination charging. In order to streamline our service offering and improve the user experience, we have decided to terminate the Charge Portal and the associated Taking Charge app as of December 1, 2025.

What happens after December 1, 2025?

After this date, the Charge Portal and Taking Charge app will no longer be available. All features associated with the service will cease, and users will need to have migrated to a new platform to retain control and function over their chargers.

What does the transition to Mobility46 entail?

CTEK has selected Mobility46 as a recommended partner for continued platform support. Mobility46 offers a robust and user-friendly service with equivalent or enhanced features compared to Charge Portal.

What does Mobility46 offer?

Mobility46's platform includes: Real-time charger monitoring and control, smooth user and payment management, multi-site and charging point support, high system stability and continuous development, and more. A comparison of the features of the systems can be seen in the table further up this page.

What do I need to do to migrate?

Accept the offer by the date stated on this page to ensure a smooth migration. Once we receive your confirmation, you will be contacted by the Onboarding team at Mobility46 for scheduled migration, which will take place before December 1, 2025.

How much does it cost to migrate to Mobility46?

CTEK and Mobility46 have jointly developed a preferential offer for existing Charge Portal users. Details about cost and contract terms can be found here on the page.

Will my settings and history be included?

Parts of settings and information may be transmitted, but the exact extent depends on technical conditions. When migrating, Mobility46 will help you configure the system to reflect your needs.

What happens if I don't migrate on time?

If you have not selected an alternative solution before December 1, 2025, you will no longer have access to the Charge Portal or related features. We therefore strongly recommend that you act in good time to ensure uninterrupted operation.

Will other services from CTEK be affected?

No, this change only applies to the Charge Portal and the Taking Charge app. CTEK's other products and services are not affected and will continue to be developed and supported as usual.

How are the users of the chargers affected?

The chargers will continue to operate as usual, but features such as remote control, user management, statistics and scheduling via the Charge Portal or the Taking Charge app will no longer be available after December 1, 2025. Continued full functionality requires migration to Mobility46 or another third-party platform.

Can I choose a platform other than Mobility46?

Yes, you are free to choose another OCPP compliant platform, but CTEK's support and offering is specifically designed for use with Mobility46.

Will I get technical assistance with the migration?

Yes, both CTEK and Mobility46 will offer guidance and technical support in connection with the migration to ensure a smooth transition.

How long does the migration take?

The transition normally takes place within the same day, although this may vary depending on the number of chargers and sites. A schedule and instructions will be sent out once you have accepted the offer.

What happens to my data in Charge Portal?

Personal data and history are handled according to GDPR. All data in the Charge Portal will be safely deleted after the termination of the service. You may request extracts or exports of certain information before December 1, 2025 by contacting chargeportal@ctek.com.

When will the technological migration take place?

Once we have received your confirmation, you will be contacted by the Onboarding team at Mobility46 for planned migration, which will take place before December 1, 2025.
